Sustainability
Worldwide, the current means of production are damaging our planet at an alarming rate. The CO2 emissions and use of microplastics are no longer insignificant. The article: "Microplastics found in lungs of living people for the first time, and deeper than expected" published by the World Economic Forum in 2022, raised awareness with serious results.

Having this issue in mind, Scalable Liquid Encapsulation has designed and developed a solution to tackle such events. The novel encapsulation techniques used by SLE not only remove the use of plastics altogether, but it is also able to shift various industries such as food & beverages, cosmetics, and more.
The SLE journey
2018 - 2020
2020 - 2021
2021 - 2022
2023-2024
The 'Proof-of-Concept', Journal Publication, and Patent request are some of the milestones achieved between 2018 and 2020. Furthermore, during this period, we have also received 75k funding from Waterloo University.
Between 2020 and 2021, the incorporation of SLE took place. In parallel to this, product validation was completed; as well as the initial customer engagement. By the end of 2021, SLE was part of the Brainport Region - Eindhoven and was also accepted to the HTXL.
In parallel, our tech team developed, tested, and commissioned our minimum viable product with 4 parallel injection nozzles - the alpha prototype of the SLE technology.
The milestones for 2023 are to raise 1M in Pre-Seed funding, followed by the development of HCU (High Capacity Unit); suitable for mass production. During this period, our team of experts will expand as well. We seek to improve engineering testing and sales.
